We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Drupal Developer to drive product development for ZenSource’s ZenCMS—a highly optimized, intuitive Drupal-based Content Management System. This role focuses on architecting, developing, and maintaining Drupal applications that enhance ZenSource’s CMS offerings while aligning with our strategic goals and product roadmap.


REPORTS TO: Chief Architect

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize full-stack applications with a focus on content author usability, performance, scalability, and security.
  • Architect, implement, and enhance web solutions using modern front-end and back-end technologies.
  • Ensure seamless integration with cloud platforms, APIs, and third-party services.
  • Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Lead code reviews and establish best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Upgrade client CMS products to the latest Drupal versions and maintain core and contributed modules.
  • Provide direct ZenCMS support to client developers and IT teams as they scale their implementations.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.

WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE
Qualifications:
  1. 5–7 years of experience in full-stack Drupal development, preferably in large-scale web projects or B2B SaaS environments like Acquia or Pantheon.
  2. Proficiency in JavaScript (React, Vue, or Angular), HTML/CSS, PHP, Twig, and Symfony.
  3. Expertise in cloud platforms, particularly AWS, with experience in serverless architecture, microservices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  4. Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  5. Solid experience with API development, RESTful services, and GraphQL.
  6. Familiarity with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  7. Experience communicating directly with client stakeholders to define requirements and deliver Drupal work.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Physical DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Occasional standing, walking, or lifting of office supplies (up to 10–20 lbs.)
  • Frequent communication via phone, email, and video conferencing.
  • Work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment with standard lighting and noise levels.
  • Position may require occasional travel to client site

Compensation Range: We offer a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications. The compensation range for this position is $120,000-130,000, with potential for bonuses, stock and additional benefits.
