Primacy is looking for a Growth Strategist to join our Performance Marketing team. This role is at the intersection of strategic planning, paid media execution, and creative integration. You’ll lead client workshops, generate audience insights, and build omnichannel playbooks with a performance-first mindset.

Unlike traditional planning roles, the Growth Strategist is hands-on with performance media, creative testing, and measurement. You’ll partner with media buyers, data analysts, and creatives to translate strategy into action, accelerating results for our clients and building new agency capabilities that drive recurring revenue.
This is a highly visible, client-facing role where you’ll help shape how Primacy delivers integrated growth marketing.


Reports to: VP, Performance Marketing


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Planning & Insights
  • Lead discovery workshops with client stakeholders to uncover business goals and challenges.
  • Distill findings into omnichannel go-to-market playbooks that blend brand, performance, and relationship marketing.
  • Conduct primary and secondary research (Pollfish surveys, Meltwater social listening, Semrush analysis, etc.) to surface insights.
  • Translate insights into testable hypotheses, informing an iterative creative process of continuous improvement.
Performance Marketing Execution
  • Architect paid media strategies across Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, Programmatic/CTV.
  • Develop campaign frameworks, audience targeting strategies, budget allocations, and test-and-learn roadmaps.
  • Diagnose campaign performance and partner with media managers to optimize toward business KPIs (CAC, LTV, pipeline velocity, etc.).
  • Lead creative testing initiatives, ensuring campaign spend directly informs creative direction.
Creative + Media Integration
  • Act as the bridge between Creative and Media, ensuring assets are informed by audience insights and performance data.
  • Champion an iterative creative process where campaign results continuously inform new creative concepts and asset refinements.
  • Author actionable creative briefs grounded in media insights, ensuring rapid learning cycles and measurable impact.
  • Establish feedback loops between spend, creative variants, and conversion outcomes to drive ongoing improvement.
Data & Measurement
  • Define and track KPIs aligned to client business outcomes (beyond vanity metrics).
  • Partner with analytics and data engineering teams on dashboards, attribution models, and campaign reporting.
  • Deliver clear, insight-driven recommendations in client presentations.
  • Evangelize performance measurement frameworks across accounts.
Agency Growth & Capability Building
  • Package repeatable strategic offerings (e.g., Paid Media Playbooks, Creative Performance Audits) that expand Primacy’s revenue base.
  • Contribute to internal POVs and thought leadership around growth marketing and performance-driven creative.
  • Mentor junior strategists and performance marketers on integrated growth principles.


What it takes to succeed in this role

  1. 5-7 years in performance marketing and strategic planning.
  2. Proven track record developing and executing digital strategies across multiple channels.
  3. Strong understanding of Performance/Growth Marketing Operations including media/creative integration, A/B testing, and conversion rate optimization.
  4. Client facing experience running workshops, delivering presentations, and owning strategy deliverables.
  5. Fluency in martech/adtech platforms (G4, attribution tools, CRM integrations,) and research tools (Pollfish, Meltwater, Semrush.)
  6. Exceptional communication and storytelling skills: able to simplify complexity and sell big ideas.
  7. Entrepreneurial mindset: thrives on building new processes, packaging capabilities, and driving measurable growth.

Physical DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Compensation Range: We offer a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications. The compensation range for this position is $90,000 to $120,000 annually, with potential for bonuses, stock and additional benefits.
